Instrumental Places

Tonal Matter makes instruments. Each one is shaped by a specific place — its sounds, textures, and the character that only comes from being somewhere real.

We call it Instrumental Places. The place is the creative brief. It determines what the instrument becomes — the field recordings selected, the tonal design, the texture of the interface. Nothing is generic.

Tonal Matter is based in Sweden and was founded by Ivan Ivarsson.
